Warnings
Kidney Safe If Prescribed
Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide is not used for internal consumption and the amount absorbed into the circulatory system also is negligible to cause any effect even though it is excreted by the urine. It is, therefore, safe to be used even in a patient with renal impairment.
Alcohol Safe
As Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide is used topically, the risk of interacting with alcohol consumed is nil. It is therefore to consume alcohol while applying Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide.
Pregnancy Not Safe
Because we have very little information about the effects during pregnancy and there's a chance that only a small amount of the medication could pass through the skin, it's recommended not to use Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide when pregnant. If pregnancy occurs unexpectedly, stop using the treatment.
Driving Generally Safe
Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide is not known to affect the ability to drive or concentrate thus it is safe to be used before driving.
Liver Limited Data
Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide is not metabolised by the liver and with only little amount absorbed through the skin into the circulatory system, Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide does not cause any harm to the liver. Dose adjustment is not needed in hepatic impaired people.
Lactation Limited Data
Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide is probably safe to use during lactation, however, avoid application to the chest to prevent contact exposure of the infant. No human data suggests that Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
