Calcium Dobesilate is commonly used to treat Chronic Venous Disease which can present as Chronic Leg Swelling, Leg Ulcers or Varicose Veins. It is also used in Diabetic Eye Disease and to treat Piles or Hemorrhoids.
How Calcium Dobesilate Works
Calcium Dobesilate reduces blood viscosity and improves blood flow by regulating the resistance and permeability of the capillary walls.

Warnings
Kidney Use With Care
Dose adjustment of Calcium Dobesilate may be needed in a patient with severe renal impairment.
Alcohol Not Advisable
The interaction of Calcium Dobesilate with alcohol is unknown. Therefore it is not advised to drink alcohol while taking this medication. Please seek your doctor's advice.
Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk
Calcium Dobesilate is contraindicated in pregnancy.
Driving Not advisable
Calcium Dobesilate may cause headaches, nausea, and vertigo which may impair your concentration while driving. Only drive if you are feeling well.
Liver Use With Care
Calcium Dobesilate is safe to use in patients with liver impairment
Lactation Not Advisable
Calcium Dobesilate is contraindicated in breastfeeding.
