Uses of Clotrimazole Vaginal
Vaginal Clotrimazole is often used as a treatment method to help eliviate symptoms of infection caused by fungi (usually Candida) and superinfections caused by Clotrimazole-resistant bacteria.
How Clotrimazole Vaginal Works
Clotrimazole protects against infections by stopping the development of ergosterol. The fungal membrane is structurally and functionally impaired when ergosterol production is inhibited. Clotrimazole has a wide antimycotic range of action in vitro and in vivo, including dermatophytes, yeasts, mould, and other pathogens.
Side Effects of Clotrimazole Vaginal
Immune System Disorders: Allergic Reaction (Syncope, Hypotension, Dyspnea, Urticaria), Reproductive System And Breast Disorders: Genital Peeling, Pruritis, Rash, Edema, Erythema, Discomfort, Burning, Irritation, Pelvic Pain & Vaginal Haemorrhage.Gastrointestinal Disorders: Abdominal Pain.
Warnings
Kidney Safe If Prescribed
Clotrimazole Vaginal can be used in patients with kidney issues.
Alcohol Safe
There is no known interaction of Clotrimazole Vaginal with alcohol.
Pregnancy Maybe Safe
This medication should only be used after the benefits and risks have been weighed properly. Please consult the doctor before using Clotrimazole Vaginal.
Driving Generally Safe
Clotrimazole Vaginal should not affect alertness or driving ability.
Liver Limited Data
Clotrimazole Vaginal should be used with caution in patients with liver issues. Dose adjustment of Clotrimazole Vaginal Vaginal may be needed. Please consult the doctor.
Lactation Limited Data
Clotrimazole Vaginal is shown to be excreted during lactation in animal studies. Because of its potential adverse drug effects on infants, patients have to decide whether to discontinue Clotrimazole Vaginal or to stop breastfeeding.
