Dextromethorphan is an antitussive agent. It works by decreasing the sensitivity of cough receptors and interrupting the transmission of cough impulse.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

It is safe to consume alcohol with Dextromethorphan as there is no known drug interaction.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Special precautions must be taken into consideration to use Dextromethorphan during pregnancy.

Driving Not advisable

Dextromethorphan may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Liver Limited Data

No dose titration of Dextromethorphan is required in patients with liver disease.

Lactation Limited Data

Dextromethorphan should be used with caution during lactation as there is no information regarding the presence of Dextromethorphan in human breast milk.
