Fesoterodine fumarate is commonly used in the treatment of Overactive Bladder (OAB) Symptoms.

How Fesoterodine Fumarate Works

Fesoterodine fumarate is an antimuscarinic agent. It inhibits excessive contraction of bladder muscles by acting on muscarinic receptor as an antagonist.

Side Effects of Fesoterodine Fumarate

Dry mouth, Insomnia, Dizziness, Headache, Dry eyes, Dry throat, Abdominal pain, Diarrhea, indigestion, Constipation

Warnings

Kidney Use With Care

Fesoterodine Fumarate should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fesoterodine Fumarate may be needed.

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Fesoterodine Fumarate as both can cause dizziness, dry eyes, constipation and headache.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Fesoterodine Fumarate may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown embryotoxicity, however, there are no adequate human studies showing any adverse effects on the fetus. It can be used in pregnant women if the benefits outweigh the risks.

Driving Not advisable

Fesoterodine Fumarate may cause side effects such as dizziness which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Liver Limited Data

Fesoterodine Fumarate should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Fesoterodine Fumarate may be needed.

Lactation Limited Data

There is no information regarding the excretion of Fesoterodine Fumarate in human milk. Therefore, it is not advisable to take Fesoterodine Fumarate during lactation.
