Uses of Framycetin

Framycetin is used to treat eye infections that include blepharitis and conjunctivitis. Framycetin is also used to treat ear diseases that include post injury or pre-operative otitis externa and post-operative otitis externa, likewise in skin contaminations

How Framycetin Works

Framycetin contains neomycin which is bactericidal in which it hinders the synthesis of bacteria protein, thus inhibiting the microorganisms.

Kidney Use With Care

Framycetin is for external application. Therefore, it is considered safe to be used in kidney disease patients. However, patients with severe kidney disease need to use with caution.

Alcohol Safe

Applying Framycetin along with taking alcohol is considered to be safe.

Pregnancy Limited Data

Usage of Framycetin is considered safe during pregnancy as it is meant for external use. However, it is always advised to use this with caution.

Driving Generally Safe

Framycetin is for external application. Therefore, it does not interfere with the ability to drive, unless when applied for eye treatment. Do not drive drive unless you can see or feel well.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

Framycetin is for external application. Therefore, it is considered safe to be used in liver ailment patients.

Lactation Safe If Prescribed

Framycetin is probably safe to use during lactation as it is not to be found in the milk of the mother due to its external usage
