Kidney Use With Care
Glycine should be not be used in patients with anuria. It should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment. Dose adjustment of Glycine may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Alcohol Safe
There is no known interaction of Glycine with alcohol.
Pregnancy Not Safe
Glycine may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal reproductive studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Glycine in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Generally Safe
Glycine usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Liver Limited Data
Glycine should be used with caution in patients with liver disease as the liver is involved in the absorption and metabolism of Glycine. Glycine may cause hyperammonaemia if used in patients with liver impairment. Dose adjustment of Glycine may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Limited Data
Glycine is probably not safe to use during lactation. There are no known data on the usage of Glycine during lactation or breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.
