How Granisetron Works
Granisetron is a potent antiemetic. It treats nausea and vomiting by acting as a highly selective antagonist of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT3) receptors.

Warnings
Kidney Safe If Prescribed
Dose adjustment of Granisetron is not needed in kidney disease.
Alcohol Safe
It is safe to consume alcohol with Granisetron as there is no known interaction between them.
Pregnancy Not Safe
Granisetron may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown no adverse effects on the fetus and there are limited human studies regarding the adverse effect. It can be used if the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Generally Safe
Granisetron has no influence on the general attention and ability to drive.
Liver Limited Data
Although dosage adjustment is not needed in patients with liver disease, Granisetron should be used with caution on the basis of the pharmacokinetics.
Lactation Limited Data
There is no information about the presence of Granisetron in human milk. Therefore, it is not recommended to take Granisetron whilst lactating.
