Uses of Lidocaine
Lidocaine/Lignocaine + Polymyxin B + Acetic Acid is used to treat ear infection. It helps relieve discomfort, itching, irritation and pain in the ear.
How Lidocaine Works
It has both antibacterial and antifungal activity which reduces inflammation and swelling.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed
Lidocaine is generally safe to be used in patients with kidney disease. There's minimal systemic absorption of Lidocaine.
Alcohol Safe
It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Lidocaine. Taking Lidocaine with alcohol has no known interactions.
Pregnancy Limited Data
There are no or limited amount of data from the use of Lidocaine during pregnancy. As with all medicines care should be taken when using this product in pregnancy and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Driving Generally Safe
Lidocaine should not affect alertness or driving ability.
Liver Safe If Prescribed
Lidocaine is safe to be used in patients with liver disease. There's minimal systemic absorption of Lidocaine.
Lactation Limited Data
