How Lindane Works

Lindane/Gamma Benzene Hexachloride is a type of topical antifungal or anti-parasite. It works by getting absorbed directly into the parasite's exoskeleton stimulating their nervous system leading to seizures and death of the parasite.

Side Effects of Lindane

Pruritus, Urticaria, Burning sensation, Dizziness, Headache, Alopecia, Allergic reactions, Contact dermatitis, Eczematous eruptions, Paraesthesia

Warnings

Kidney Use With Care

Lindane should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lindane may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction of Lindane with alcohol.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Lindane must be used with caution during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Lindane in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Generally Safe

Lindane usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Liver Use With Care

Lindane should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lindane may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Not Advisable

Lindane is contraindicated during lactation. It is absorbed into the skin and adipose tissue and may cause risk to the breastfed infant. Please consult your doctor.
