Loteprednol Etabonate is a corticosteroid. It’s structure that is highly lipid soluble allows the production of lipocortin protein that modulates the activity of prostaglandin and leukotrienes. This results in the inhibition of inflammatory response.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed
Loteprednol Etabonate has low systemic absorption. Therefore, no dose adjustment of Loteprednol Etabonate may be needed.
Alcohol Safe
It is safe to consume alcohol with Loteprednol Etabonate as there is no known drug interaction.
Pregnancy Not Safe
Loteprednol Etabonate may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicity to the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. It can only be used if the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Limited Data
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Loteprednol Etabonate may cause transient loss of vision which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
