Uses of Simethicone + Dicyclomine

Activated Dimethicone/simethicone + Dicyclomine helps relieve colic in infant, stomach discomfort and wind.

How Simethicone + Dicyclomine Works

It has antispasmodic properties which inhibits smooth muscle spasm in GIT. Simethicone has antifoaming properties which decrease gas bubbles in the GIT and removes it through flatulence.

Dry mouth, Palpitation, Loss of taste, Constipation, Blurred vision, Mental confusion

Warnings

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment of Simethicone + Dicyclomine may be needed for patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

Alcohol Not Advisable

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Simethicone + Dicyclomine. However, alcohol is able to worsen the peptic ulcer leading to severe bleeding. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol during the treatment of Simethicone + Dicyclomine.

Pregnancy Limited Data

There are limited data on the use of Simethicone + Dicyclomine in pregnant women from animal studies and human studies. Thus, caution use has to be practised during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Generally Safe

Simethicone + Dicyclomine should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

Simethicone + Dicyclomine is safe to be used in patients with liver impairment.

Lactation Safe If Prescribed

Excretion of Simethicone + Dicyclomine has been found in human breast milk but the risk on breastfed infants is not significant. Thus, it is safe to be used during breastfeeding.
