How Testosterone Works
Testosterone is a synthetic androgenic drug which is able to help to develop masculine sex organs. It also helps male patients with hypogonadism to develop secondary sexual characteristics including facial and body hair, thickening of vocal cords and changes in muscle and fat distribution.
Side Effects of Testosterone
Fluid retention, Hypercalcemia, Impaired glucose tolerance, Increased bone growth and skeletal weight, Increased bad cholesterol level, Headache, Suppression of sperm formation, Gynaecomastia, Prostatic hyperplasia, Gum irritation
Warnings
Kidney Use With Care
Caution use of Testosterone has to be practised in patients with kidney impairment.
Alcohol Safe
There is no known interaction between alcohol and Testosterone when used concomitantly. However, excessive alcohol consumption will lower the body Testosterone level. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk
Testosterone has no therapeutic indication in women and it must not be used during pregnancy as reproductive toxicities have been shown.
Driving Generally Safe
Testosterone usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Liver Use With Care
Caution use of Testosterone has to be practised in patients with liver impairment.
Lactation Not Advisable
Testosterone has no therapeutic indication in women and it must not be used during breastfeeding.
