Tetryzoline is commonly used to treat Allergic Eye Disease.

How Tetryzoline Works

Tetryzoline is an alpha-adrenergic agonist which is able to constrict the conjunctival blood vessels, subsequently, relieving the eye redness due to irritation.

Palpitations, Blurred vision, Eye irritation, Prolonged pupil dilatation, Headache, Tremor, Hypertension

Warnings

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Tetryzoline is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction between alcohol and ophthalmic drops of Tetryzoline when used concomitantly.

Pregnancy Limited Data

Pregnancy safety category has not been assigned for Tetryzoline. Thus, caution use has to be practised during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Not advisable

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Tetryzoline may cause side effects such as blurred vision or eye irritation, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Liver Limited Data

Tetryzoline is safe to be used in patients with liver impairment.

Lactation Limited Data

There are no data on Tetryzoline use during breastfeeding in animal studies or human studies. Thus, caution use has to be practised during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
