Amlodipine + Indapamide + Perindopril
Uses of Amlodipine + Indapamide + Perindopril
The combination of Amlodipine, Indapamide, and Perindopril is a fixed-dose antihypertensive medication used for the treatment of hypertension, combining a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine), a diuretic (indapamide), and an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor (perindopril) to help lower blood pressure.
How Amlodipine + Indapamide + Perindopril Works
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and decreased peripheral vascular resistance. Indapamide is a diuretic that promotes the excretion of sodium and water, reducing blood volume and lowering blood pressure. Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, resulting in vasodilation and decreased aldosterone secretion, further lowering blood pressure. The combination of these three medications works synergistically to effectively manage hypertension.
Side Effects of Amlodipine + Indapamide + Perindopril
Dizziness, Headache, Peripheral Edema, Flushing, Cough, and Hypotension.
Warnings
Kidney High Risk
