Uses of Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate

Azelastine+Fluticasone Propionate is used for symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe allergic reactions. It helps relieve symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, itchy & blocked nose, watery and red eyes.

How Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate Works

Azelastine hydrochloride is an antihistamines that works by preventing the effects of substances that the body produces as part of an allergic reaction thus reducing symptoms of cold/flu. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroids which works by reducing inflammation.

Side Effects of Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate

Headache, Bitter Taste In Your Mouth, Unpleasant Smell,Slight Irritation Of The Inside Of The Nose Which Causes Mild Stinging, Itching Or Sneezing. Nasal Dryness, Cough, Dry Throat Or Throat Irritation

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate is generally safe to be used in patients with kidney disease. There's minimal systemic absorption of Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate.

Alcohol Limited Data

No specific interaction studies with Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate has been performed.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Category B3. There is no insuffiecient evidence of safety of Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate in human pregnancy. Please consult your doctor before use.

Driving Use With Care

Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate may cause side effects such as dizziness or blurred vision, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.

Liver Use With Care

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with moderate liver impairment. It is contraindicated in patients with severe liver impairment. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

There are no or limited amount of data from the use of Azelastine + Fluticasone Propionate during lactation. As with all medicines care should be taken when using this product in pregnancy and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
