Uses of Benzydamine
Benzydamine is commonly used for symptoms such as arthralgia joint pain, dental pain, ear pain, headache, menstrual pain, muscular pain, musculoskeletal pain, nerve pain, pain during menstruation, postoperative pain, rheumatic pain and toothache. It is also used to treat Ankylosing Spondylitis, Patent Ductus Arteriosus Pda, migraine and gout.
How Benzydamine Works
Benzydamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and antirheumatic drug. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines. Hence, it reduces inflammation and pain such as muscular pain, arthralgia joint pain and rheumatic pain.

Kidney Use With Care
Benzydamine should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as it is excreted in the urine. Dose adjustment of Benzydamine may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

There is no known interaction of Benzydamine with alcohol.
Pregnancy Limited Data
Benzydamine may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies about the risk on the fetus. Benzydamine may be used if the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Generally Safe
Benzydamine should not affect alertness or driving ability.
Liver Use With Care
