Pregnancy Not Safe

Bisacodyl may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Studies on animals have revealed some adverse effects. However, there are no well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Lactation Limited Data

Bisacodyl is not recommended to use during lactation without a doctor's consultation. Limited human data suggests that Bisacodyl does not represent a significant risk to the baby, but a consultation with the doctor would be best to evaluate the risks and benefits.
