Uses of Econazole Vaginal

Vaginal Econazole is often used to treat skin problems. Bacteria and yeasts, such as thrush, cause the infections (Candida).

How Econazole Vaginal Works

Econazole vaginal pessaries are solid, torpedo-shaped pessaries (vaginal suppositories). When they are put into the vagina, they release a medication known as econazole nitrate. This medication is an antifungal, which eliminates fungi and yeasts by intervening with their plasma membrane.

Kidney Use With Care

Econazole Vaginal Vaginal is excreted via urine after being metabolised, however, it is poorly absorbed from skin or vagina. Thus, insignificant amount would present in the body system. Econazole Vaginal Vaginal is most probably safe to be used in patients with kidney disease but it should be used with caution if it is taken orally. Dose adjustment may be needed if administered orally.

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction of Econazole Vaginal Vaginal with alcohol.

Pregnancy Limited Data

The safety of Econazole Vaginal Vaginal in human pregnancy is not established. Therefore, Econazole Vaginal Vaginal should only be used for pregnant women after careful risk/benefit assessment by the doctor.

Driving Generally Safe

Econazole Vaginal Vaginal should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Liver Limited Data

Liver is the main organ where metabolism of Econazole Vaginal Vaginal takes part. Hence, Econazole Vaginal Vaginal should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Econazole Vaginal Vaginal may be needed if it is taken orally. However, different from oral use, Econazole Vaginal Vaginal is insignificant in systemic circulation if it is used topically or as vaginal pessary due to poor absorption through skin and vagina.

Lactation Limited Data

There is limited data if Econazole Vaginal Vaginal in safe to be used during breastfeeding. Therefore, Econazole Vaginal Vaginal should only be used for pregnant women after careful risk/benefit assessment by the doctor.
