L-Lysine Hydrochloride is commonly used in the treatment of Herpes Simplex Virus Infections and also used for Dietary Supplement.

How L-Lysine Hydrochloride Works

L-Lysine Hydrochloride is an amino acid which is essential for human body growth and development. It is also used to reduce the arginine, leading to reduced viral replication.

Side Effects of L-Lysine Hydrochloride

Diarrhea, Abdominal pain, Chronic kidney failure, Interstitial nephritis, Increased calcium absorption

Warnings

Kidney Use With Care

Caution use has to be practised in patients with kidney impairment.

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction between alcohol and L-Lysine Hydrochloride when used concomitantly.

Pregnancy Not Safe

There are limited data on the use of L-Lysine Hydrochloride in pregnant women. Thus, caution use has to be practised when using L-Lysine Hydrochloride during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Generally Safe

L-Lysine Hydrochloride usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Liver Limited Data

L-Lysine Hydrochloride is safe to be used in patients with liver impairment.

Lactation Limited Data

Excretion of L-Lysine Hydrochloride is unknown in human breast milk. Thus, caution use has to be practised when using L-Lysine Hydrochloride during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.
