Warnings

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment of Levetiracetam may be needed as the clearance of this medication is correlated with creatinine clearance. Thus, Levetiracetam should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Levetiracetam. Taking Levetiracetam with alcohol may have additive effects in the central nervous system. It increases the risk of CNS depression.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Levetiracetam can be use during pregnancy at lowest effective dose if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. There is no major congenital malformation from the usage of Levetiracetam during pregnancy. Nevertheless, there is limited evidence on the neurodevelopment disability of children exposed to Levetiracetam in utero.

Driving Not advisable

Levetiracetam has minor effects on the ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Liver Use With Care

Levetiracetam should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease as dose adjustment may be needed. Dose titration is not required In mild to moderate liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Not Advisable

Levetiracetam is excreted in human milk. Therefore, breast-feeding is not recommended.
