How Mianserin Works

Mianserin is an antidepressant drug. It works by blocking the inhibitory ⍺2-receptors hence increasing the amount of noradrenaline released. This event will treat depression because noradrenaline in depressed patients were found to be low.

Drowsiness, Jaundice, Unstable blood pressure, Increased heart beat, Dizziness, Vomiting

Mianserin is thought to be safe in patients with renal impairment.

Animal studies have shown no negative effects on the fetus. However, there are no study on human pregnant woman available.

Liver Use With Care

Mianserin is considered safe in patients with liver impairment.
