It works by preventing the ovulation and changes the cervical mucus consistency. It also make changes to the uterus lining to prevent any pregnancy to happen.

Warnings
Kidney Use With Care
Oestradiol + Dienogest should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease as it can cause fluid retention and its effect of usage on renal impairment patients has not been studied enough. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Alcohol Safe
There is no known interaction between Oestradiol + Dienogest with alcohol.
Pregnancy Limited Data
Oestradiol + Dienogest is not indicated for usage during pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs during use of Oestradiol + Dienogest, the preparation should be withdrawn immediately. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Driving Generally Safe
Oestradiol + Dienogest should not affect alertness or driving ability.
Liver Use With Care
Oestradiol + Dienogest should be used with caution in patients with liver disease as in cause disturbances in liver enzymes. Dose adjustment of Oestradiol + Dienogest may be needed. It is contraindicated in past history in liver disease. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Lactation Not Advisable
Oestradiol + Dienogest reduces production of breast milk. Hence, other contraceptive method aside from Oestradiol + Dienogest should be considered until the nursing mother has completely weaned her child. Excretion of Oestradiol + Dienogest into breast milk is in minimal amounts and may possibly affect the child.
