Painful Periods, Menstrual Periods Which Are Heavier Or Last Longer Than Usual, Abnormal Or Irregular Bleeding, White Or Yellow Vaginal Discharge Uncommon (May Affect Up To 1 In 1, Mood Swings, Migraine, Vertigo, Wind (Flatulence), Increase In The Volume Of The Uterus, Intolerance To Glucose, Which May Affect Your Blood Sugars, If You Have Epilepsy, Your Symptoms May Get Worse, High Blood Pressure, A Blood Test May Show Changes In The Way The Liver Is Working, Acne, Unusual Production Of Breast Milk, A Type Of Allergic Reaction Called Anaphylaxis (More Likely If You Have Had Allergic Reactions In The Past)

Kidney Use With Care
In patients with renal dysfunction, they should be closely observed when using Oestradiol Topical as it may cause fluid retention.
Alcohol Not Advisable
It is not advisable to consume alcohol with oestradiol as research has found that the combination may increase the risk of breast cancer. Alcohol may increase the estrogen levels and thus, the extra estrogen and the synthetic oestradiol resulted in too much estrogen.
Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk
Oestradiol Topical is contraindicated in pregnancy and thus the treatment should be withdrawn as soon as pregnancy is diagnosed.
Driving Generally Safe
Oestradiol Topical should not affect alertness or driving ability.
Liver Use With Care
It is recommended to avoid using Oestradiol Topical in patients with liver disease. If required, it should not be given during acute illness and need to be administered preferably through the transdermal route. This route bypasses the liver and thus, will not interfere with the hepatic enzymes and Oestradiol Topicals produced in the liver.
Lactation Not Advisable
Oestradiol Topical should not be used during breastfeeding.
