Ombitasvir when co-administered with other antiviral medicinal products with different mechanisms of action to target Hepatitis C virus at their viral life cycle. Ombitasvir is an inhibitor of HCV NS5A which is essential for viral replication.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed
Ombitasvir pharmacokinetic is not affected significantly in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ombitasvir may not be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Alcohol Safe
Taking Ombitasvir together with alcohol may cause interactions to occur but no proven research indicates so. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Pregnancy Limited Data
Ombitasvir may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are no human studies. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Driving Generally Safe
Ombitasvir may cause minimal or no side effects which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Liver Limited Data
Ombitasvir should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ombitasvir may be needed for moderate to severe liver disease. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Lactation Limited Data
Even though Ombitasvir is excreted into the animal breast milk but excretion into breast milk and its effect on feeding baby is still unknown. Please discuss with your doctor before using it.
