Policresulen contains acid and methanal, hence allowing it to work as a hemostatic and antiseptic.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Because Policresulen an external topical medication, it is considered safe in patients with kidney disease.

Alcohol Safe

Because Policresulen is an external medication, intake of alcohol may not interact or affect the medication.

Pregnancy Limited Data

Policresulen may be unsafe to use during pregnancy, however can still be used if benefit justifies the risk.

Driving Generally Safe

Because it is mostly as an external use, driving is considered safe. However, do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Liver Limited Data

Because Policresulen an external topical medication, it is considered safe in patients with kidney disease.

Lactation Limited Data

Policresulen is probably safe to use during lactation because no data suggest of a risk to infant.
