Polyethylene Glycol is a laxative that works by binding to water molecules, thus retaining water in the stool , making the stool softer and increasing the volume making transport easier.

Nausea/ vomiting, Diarrhea, Anal irritation, Bloating, Cramps, Pain, Urgency to defecate

It is considered safe to consume alcohol with Polyethylene Glycol. However, it is best that the consumption is limited to tiny amount.

Pregnancy Maybe Safe

Animal studies of Polyethylene Glycol have not shown adverse effects on the animal fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Therefore, it is considered safe in pregnancy.
