Uses of Vardenafil

Vardenafil is commonly used to treat Erectile Dysfunction.

How Vardenafil Works

Vardenafil is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor which able to bind strongly and inhibit the cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) in the corpus cavernosum around the penis. This can cause smooth muscle relaxation and increases the blood flow to the penis, maintain the erection in patients with erectile dysfunction.

Headache, Dizziness, Flushing, Nasal congestion, Heartburn, Visual disturbances, Tinnitus

Warnings

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with severe kidney impairment.

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Vardenafil when used concomitantly.

Pregnancy Maybe Safe

Vardenafil is not used in women and no studies are conducted in pregnant women.

Driving Generally Safe

There are no studies of the Vardenafil on the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Liver Limited Data

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment whereas the use of Vardenafil is prohibited in patients with severe liver impairment.

Lactation Limited Data

Vardenafil is not used in women and no studies are conducted in breastfeeding women.
