Vitamin B2 or riboflavin is commonly used together with other multi-vitamins in nutritional deficiencies and microcytic anaemia

How Vitamin B2 Works

Vitamin B2 works as a component of flavoprotein enzymes that work together for which are necessary for tissue respiration, thus energy utilisation and conversion of tryptophan to niacin.

Warnings

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

There is no dosing adjustment in people with renal impairement of any degree.

Alcohol Safe

It is safe to consume alcohol with Vitamin B2 as no interaction has been recorded.

Pregnancy Safe If Prescribed

Animal and human studies have concluded the safety and the importance of Vitamin B2 during pregnancy. It is advisable to follow daily requirement set by the regulatory body.

Driving Generally Safe

Vitamin B2 usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

Dose adjustment is not needed in a person with liver disease of any stage.

Lactation Safe If Prescribed

Vitamin B2 is excreted in breastmilk, and is important for the baby's growth requirement as well.
